Substitute half butter for half the oil, so 2 Tablespoons each. Or use all butter and omit the salt.
Melt butter and oil and stir in sugar just until it melts completely. Don't let the sugar brown at all.
Immediately pour this over the air-popped corn in a warm bowl add salt and toss to coat evenly.
