Question: Has anyone ever had fried pickles?

2 lg. egg yolks
1 c. water
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 (32 oz.) jar dill pickles, well drained
Oil for frying

Beat yolks and water together. Gradually beat in flour, keeping the batter smooth. Trim end on pickles. Slice 1/4 inch thick and dry well on paper towels. Heat oil to 375 degrees and fry. Do not crowd. Fry until slightly browned. Drain on paper towels and serve at once.

i guess, but anything can effect the taste, the spiced and how its fried.....cant be to hard, try getting a recipe and doing it at home maybe......could be fun

The restraunts here in our part of Florida use dill spears and fry them and its soooo good, lots of batter is the key and dill spears hold in more juice when fried than a chip which only absorbs the grease :)

Yes. I have tried them several times at different restaurants and have never liked them. Kind of like a pickle on a McDonalds hamburger after a ride through their microwave only they don't have the flour coating.
