Italian food recipes or not!?

So basically, my boyfriend ALWAYS cooks for me, so now its my turn(:
i want to make an Italian Dinner
So could you give me some good Italian
-soup
-salad
-appetizer
-entree- we are both Alfredo freaks
-desert-we both like Carmel and vanilla (doesn't have to be an Italian desert)

Appetizer party, for birthday?

so ive been trying to figure out what to do for my birthday and i decided to do a dinner party because i love to cook, but my step mother came up with the idea for a appetizer party and i though that sounded cool but im trying to find recipes for it and i dont know what im suposta do for something like that....i kinda want it to be fancy but not to fancy....Could you please help me with recipes for this i need quite a few and the like 2 different types of non-alcholic beverages for something like this also it would be a great help!

I've looked online and in some taste of home and cooking light magainzes/C.Books and I need some ideas for simple appetizers as I'm just doing an appetizer party. I've checked martha stewart, kraft foods and a few other sites.

mini pulled pork sandwiches,
cucumber cups
guacamole
taco dip
mini crab rangoons
beri martini's

I'm at the part where I go to the meadow at 10:00 a.m., and I did that, and I chose the appetizer recipe, and Pierre said to come back at 6:00 p.m. or something like that. So I got home, but I had already made the recipe, so I just took care of my animals and dawdled around till six, when I ran to the meadow, and no one was there... Was I supposed to cook a recipe after choosing the type of food I was going to cook?

I'm having a few friends over for New Years and want the food to be awesome. One friend is already bringing stuff for nachos, so that's out. We want more hearty foods, not fruits and light whipped dips. Unfortunately I have a lot of food allergies and intolerances. I can't eat:

I have all the wine and cheese covered, however, i would like to also have some appetizers that would compliment the evening. I don't want anything that would be too overpowering when we are tasting the wine and cheese but something that will go together and keep the crowd happy.
